Debbie Spencer presents BCCC program at Warren Rotary

The Warren Rotary Club’s program was Debbie Spencer on Tuesday, Sept. 21 inside the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church. Rotarian Jimmy Sledge presented Mrs. Spencer, who spoke about a number of upcoming events the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring. First of all, there will be another Market on Main on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the old Martin’s lot. They have had several over the course of the summer and they were very successful as the vendors wanted them to put on another one. The next event is the Trunk or Treat Halloween event on Main Street. It will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 and includes a number of local businesses handing out candy. There will also be hot dogs, popcorn, and the Warren Branch Library will be handing out books. Spencer also touched on what is planned for Christmas. There is a Christmas parade scheduled for Friday, Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 11 there will be a number of Christmas activities on the former Martin’s lot including a chance for kids to meet Santa Claus and listen to Christmas stories from Mrs. Claus. After the program, the Warren Rotary Club presented Mrs. Spencer with a $50 check for these special events and also gave her a lot of candy that Rotarians had been collecting the last few weeks.
