Macy Lynn McElroy, 1953-2021

Macy Lynn McElroy, 67 of Warren, Arkansas died on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on October 14, 1953 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the youngest daughter of the late Phillip Hill McElroy and the late Freda Virginia McElroy of Warren, Arkansas.

Macy was a graduate of McGehee High School. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville then later graduated with her Mater’s of Education from U of A at Monticello. She taught for many years in the Fordyce Public School System and later retired from Mill Creek Behavior Health Facility of Arkansas located in Fordyce.
After several years of extensive traveling with her sister she had, just this year, returned to Mill Creek to begin teaching again. For the first time, she was teaching girls and was enjoying the new challenges that this opportunity presented for her.

Macy was an avid Razorback fan and for many many years enjoyed attending all the in-state football games and tailgating with family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Donna McGaha, nephews Scott McGaha and spouse Stephanie McGaha and Jeffrey McGaha and spouse Kim McGaha all of Warren, Arkansas. Great nephews Cole McGaha and spouse Allison McGaha of Conway, Arkansas, Maxx McGaha and Rett McGaha both of Warren, Arkansas and great-great nephew Maddox McGaha of Conway, Arkansas and extended family and friends.

A memorial service was held at Immanuel Baptist Church on October 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
