No football this week, but basketball coverage starts soon

It’s been quite a while since I can remember the Lumberjacks having two weeks off in the middle of a football season, but here we are.

By Rob Reep

As Coach Hembree told us in our last episode of The Bo Show(which premieres each Wednesday during football season), Warren did try to find a week ten opponent, but in the end it didn’t work out. So here we are without football for the last week of the regular season. Couple that with a first round playoff bye, and the Jacks are partway through a two week break.

We’ll find out a week from today exactly who the Jacks will face in round two of the 4A State Playoffs, but till then, we’ve got some exciting stuff coming down the pike here at Saline River Chronicle, and I wanted to fill you in before it all starts.

Basketball is on the horizon. Warren’s senior team’s seasons officially tip off this coming Thursday, November 11 as the Lady Jacks and Lumberjacks host Pine Bluff at home in Warren. To see the full schedule click here.

Our coverage of basketball will continue in the same excellent fashion as our Warren football coverage, with a few minor differences. Our game reports for basketball will be posted the morning after games rather than in a weekend sports edition. We will also not be posting live Facebook updates of games.

Our staff can’t wait to get basketball season underway. Last year our coverage was a bit hampered due to the COVID situation, but this season we will return for Lady Jack and Lumberjack basketball coverage that simply can’t be beat.

You can check back November 12 for our first two games of coverage.

And just a little hint, we are planning some excellent baseball, softball, and soccer coverage come springtime.

Although we didn’t have a Lumberjack Football game Friday night, the Dr. Joe Wharton Arkansas High School Football Scoreboard is available for week ten.

I also want to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors of our football coverage. You can see exactly who they are in the graphic above. If you happen to see an owner or employee of one of our sponsoring businesses, please tell them thank you for helping to support coverage of Lumberjack Football on Saline River Chronicle. Without them, what we do each and every Friday night simply would not be possible.
