City of Warren has dogs available for adoption

Clinton Webb, Warren’s Animal Control Officer, recently visited with SRC to make the public aware of dogs that have been picked up and are being kept at the City’s Animal Shelter.

At this time the facility has 17 dogs, 5 puppies and 12 adults available to be looked at. “First of all we ask residents who may have lost track of their animal to check with the city and determine if one of the dogs may be yours,” said Mr. Webb. “We desire to get them back to their owner if possible.” There will be no fines or fees, at this time, for retrieving your personal animal. If you wish to adopt a dog, there will be no fee at this time. The City is looking for good homes for all the dogs.

If you wish for additional information, please contact Mr. Webb by calling the Warren Police Department at 870-226-3703.

All residents are reminded that dogs are not allowed to run free in the city limits of Warren. They must be in a pen or on a leash and maintained in a safe and secure place with food, water and shelter. Violation of the law is subject to being issued a citation and being fined. It is also illegal to abuse any animal, subject to criminal legal action being taken.

Please take care of your dog or animal.
