Fern Elizabeth Berry passed away peacefully December 18, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her memorial Service will be held at Mount Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, on Wednesday, December 22nd. Visitation will start at 11:00am, Funeral Service at 12:00pm and Committal Service at 1:00pm, followed by lunch.
She is survived by 3 sons, Douglas and wife Linda of Festus, Missouri, Stanley and wife Juanita of Overland Park, Kansas, Steve and wife Shirley of Mulvane, Kansas, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Fern was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her career started as a music teacher. She met and married Frank and later started a family. She was an accomplished seamstress and excelled in her cooking skills, especially apple pie. She fulfilled her role of Mom in every sense of the word.
As a faithful daughter, her family visited her parents on the farm every month, every year. This exposed her kids to life on the farm which proved to be an invaluable experience for all. As a member of Swope Park Baptist Church, she was involved in the construction project and migration to the new Grace Point Baptist Church as well as pianist for her Sunday School department.
