STRONG, Ark. (AR) – A Felsenthal man, 45 year-old Michael E. Simmons, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on State Highway 275 near Strong in Union County Sunday, January 30, 2022 when the Harley Davidson he was driving struck a dog that entered the roadway.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Simmons was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on State Highway 275 when the accident occurred around 3:15 p.m. A dog entered the southbound lane. When the motorcycle struck the dog, Simmons was thrown from the motorcycle.
Simmons was an employee at Hays Paint & Body in Strong. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Strong.
