Tomato Festival plans progressing for 2022 event

Planning continued for the 66th annual Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival by committee members Thursday.

Attending the meeting at the District Courtroom were Chairwoman Brooke Hatch, 1st Vice Chairwoman Kenna Sparks, 2nd Vice Chairman Keeton Hudson, Past President James Wells and committee members Steve Mahanes, Denisa Pennington, Jimmy Sledge, Vicky Tapia and JeNelle Lipton.

The T-shirt contest winners were announced as Carole Little and Cathy Richardson.

The Rural Health Clinic will sponsor the Cutest Baby Contest.

Junior Auxiliary will sponsor the Kids Zone.

Bradley County Quilt show will be held.

Warren Lions Club will sponsor the Gospel Jamboree featuring The Lisemby Family at 6 p.m. June 9 at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Beauty pageants will be held in Hermitage, with the location of the Little Miss Pink Tomato Pageant still to be determined.

The All-Tomato Luncheon will return, sponsored by Bradley County Extension Homemakers.

A parade is planned.

The next general membership meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. April 28.
