Billy Carroll Chalk, age 75 of Ladelle, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at home. He was born January 6, 1947, in Yell County, Arkansas, to the late Robert Chalk and Emma Willis Chalk. He was a retired logger for Steve Bolin Logging. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising the best garden around.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by one son, Robert Miles Chalk; one sister, Freda Spears; and one brother, James Chalk.
Survivors include four daughters, Ina Pemberton and husband William of Monticello, Stacey Tharp of Hamburg, Catherine Johnston of Monticello, and Laura Lochala and husband Michael of Monticello; two sons, Jimmy Chalk and wife Patricia of Morrilton, AR, and Robert Chalk and wife Lacey of Monticello; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren; one special friend Sue Shook of Monticello; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will follow in Lone Sassafras Cemetery.
