GFWC Warren Woman’s Club meets ahead of upcoming projects

GFWC Warren Woman’s Club discussed several upcoming projects at their monthly meeting Tuesday at First Free Will Baptist Church.

President Diane Parnell noted upcoming events would include a salute to National Nurses Week; Arbor Day, 1:30 p.m. April 28 at Warren City Park; and Countywide Cleanup Day, May 7, starting at 7 a.m. at the Bradley County Courthouse.

The Environment Committee and Community Improvement Committee will work on replacing club signs at the highways surrounding the city.

Nominating Committee recommendations were adopted. New officers will be installed for a two-year term at the May 17 meeting. They are President Judy Gibson, 1st Vice President Jonalyn Reep, 2nd Vice President Diane Parnell, Recording Secretary Donna McGaha, Treasurer Judy Braswell and Corresponding Secretary JoAnne Rawls.
