Star City bests Jacks in 33 run baseball game

WARREN, Ark. – Offense was not in short supply Thursday evening, April 14, 2022 as the Warren Lumberjacks battled on the baseball diamond with Star City to a 22-11 loss for Warren at the Warren Sports Complex.

The Bullgos of Star City jumped out to a 13-0 lead through three innings and looked to be cruising towards a quick 10-run rule finish through four. However, Warren fought valiantly, bringing the game back to within nine runs midway, led by a seven run fifth inning. Star City would eventually win in six via the 10-run rule.

Aidan Reynolds got the start on the mound for Warren, but it was an all-hands-on deck effort through six innings. Coming in to relieve was Creed Smith, Westin Hargrave, Landon Wolfe, and Delfino Rivera.

Warren scored 11 runs on five hits. The Jacks left seven runners stranded.

Defensively, the orange and black committed seven errors on the evening.
