Hermitage named National Beta School of Merit

Hermitage School District is proud to announce that Hermitage Elementary School is a 2021-2022 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus. National Junior Beta includes grades 4-8 and National Senior Beta includes grades 9-12.

The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. This year, only 3,380 Beta Clubs across the country received this award.

In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”

Tracie Richard, the Hermitage Elementary Beta Sponsor stated, “My greatest honor has been to serve and mentor students at the Hermitage School District. I cherish their moments of success and continue to help them serve others in their journey to become outstanding leaders of this great nation.”

The Hermitage Elementary club has been serving the Hermitage community for 14 years. The club has a Jr. Beta Annual Food Drive each November to support the families in Hermitage for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Donations go to the local food bank at Hermitage Baptist Church. In December of each year, the Hermitage Elementary Beta Club has an Annual Jr. Beta Christmas Dance. The club entertains and serves students as well as raises money for Christmas for Kids, which is supported by local churches and other community organizations. This event is so remembered that students and adults from the past continue to support the Hermitage Elementary Beta Club each year with their volunteerism and donations. Lastly, the club supports Hermitage Elementary School with clean-up projects and general needs when called upon.
