‘Significant change’ in weather expected this weekend

The National Weather Service forecast shows a “significant change to the overall weather pattern” later this week.

A cold front is expected to creep into the northern section of the State around Thursday evening bringing rain and thunderstorms. The front is forecast to stall Friday afternoon across the southern portion of the State before it becomes a stationary front by Saturday afternoon. Widespread rain and thunderstorms could arrive Thursday night through Sunday.
