The new Jersey Rural Fire Department (JRFD) will have an orgizational meeting at Shady Grove Baptist Church, August 27, at 9:00 a.m. Jersey Rural includes Moro Bay, Hilo, Lanark and Gravelridge. Once fully established, they hope to support currently established Fire departments in both Bradley and Calhoun Counties. They need volunteers for the following positions:
- Leadership Committee: Separate from the Fire Department, it is totally an oversight leadership committee to monitor all financial and equipment issues
- Fire Department: Need Volunteers for Chief, two assistant fire Chiefs and as many fire persons as possible. The Chief will be responsible for all training and equipment needs to be submitted to Leadership Committee for approval
