October looking warmer and drier than normal

Don’t get overly excited about those cooler fall temperatures just yet. According to the Climate Prediction Center and the National Weather Service, South Arkansas is expected to experience warmer than normal conditions this coming October 2022. “Confidence is highest in above average temperatures from the central Rockies to the mid-Mississippi Valley, but it should be warmer than normal across much of the country,” says the National Weather Service. The precipitation forecast is also looking a bit bleak. South Arkansas is at risk of below average rain throughout the month of October.
