Burks exits game late with apparent injury, tallies two receptions against Indianapolis

Treylon Burks posted two receptions and a rush in the Tennessee Titan’s Sunday afternoon victory over the Indianapolis Colts October 2, 2022 in Indianapolis.

Burks’s first bit of actions came at the 11:17 mark of the second quarter when the rookie wideout was given a handoff around the right end for four yards. Ryan Tannehill would target Burks through the air later on the drive, but the pass was incomplete. The drive ended with a field goal to put Tennessee up 17-3.

Late in the second quarter and on a two-minute drill, Tannehill went to Burks through the air for six yards to the Indianapolis 25-yard-line, but the drive came up empty.

Tannehill went to Burks again with 14:16 to go in the fourth quarter for an eight yard gain. Unfortunately he was forced to exit the game with an injury on the play as he was fighting for extra yardage and a Colts defender appeared to fall on one of his ankles. He did attempt to return a play later, but was unable. Burks was taken to the locker room for further analysis.

He currently has eight receptions for 115 yards on the season.

Tennessee went on to win by the final of 24-17. They move to 2-2 on the year.
