Frankie Lee Davis, 1957-2022

Frankie Lee Davis, 65, of Banks, passed away November 17, 2022. Born April 9, 1957, he was a son of the late Dennis Lee and Hattie Davis. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Banks. During his attendance in church, he served faithfully in various capacities including deaconship, church treasurer and other areas as needed. He was also a Mason.

Frankie graduated from Hermitage High School with high honors. He played on the football team while in high school. After graduation, he married and to that union three children were born. He furthered his education at Southeast Arkansas Community College and received his certification in Mechanics. He was one of the best mechanics in Southeast Arkansas. He worked at Ford Motor Company in El Dorado for many years until his retirement.

He enjoyed watching and playing sports, hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, gardening and helping others. He also loved singing and playing his guitar, but most of all, he loved God and his family.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother Jimmy Lee Davis.

He is survived by his children, Whitney Gilbert (Micah) of Warren, Kendrick Davis of Monticello, Brandon Davis of Banks; grandchildren, Bra’niya Davis, O’Ryan Davis, Khloe Davis, Jalin Green, Tia Gilbert, Miles Gilbert; great-granddaughter, Briar Eliza; siblings, Michael Davis, Lucy Collins, Annie Golden, Sue Dismute (Robert), Nancy McCullough (Victor), Listeen Speed (Hunter), Carolyn Ederington (Johnny), Helen Davis; special cousin/caretaker, Sandra Gail Davis; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held November 26 at the Hermitage Community Center. Burial was in Hall Cemetery, Banks. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
