James Clifton Howard “Jim,” 1965-2022

James Clifton Howard “Jim” of White Hall, Arkansas passed away on Friday October 28, 2022 surrounded by close family. Jim was the son of the late James Howard and Amy Callaway Howard. He was born on February 25, 1965 in Warren, Arkansas. Jim was a graduate of White Hall High School and Ashford University. Jim enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1987 and retired in 2011. During his tenure, he attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and First Sergeant. He enjoyed traveling the world and had many overseas and stateside assignments. Upon retirement, Jim returned to Arkansas to be near his family. He started a new career in banking and was recently promoted to Vice President of Operations at Fairfield Community Credit Union.

Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife Valarie and a very special little dog, Izzy; his mother Amy; his two sisters Jennifer Williams (Larry) and Julie Redmond (Jeff);  his twin brother and partner in crime Jeff;  his niece Kristin Cragun (Josh) who was like a daughter to him. He is also survived by Kristin’s children, Amelia, Addi, and Max, who were like his grandchildren;  two nephews, Dylan McCarty and Justin Morris, and stepson Tyler Bunting.

Jim leaves behind many family and friends around the world. He loved adventure, travel, and food critiquing. Jim was a selfless giver and was always ready to help anyone in need. He will truly be missed.

A memorial party will be announced by family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Jim will be truly missed by all who knew him and all who enjoyed his many areas of expertises as in his post on weather, food,store availability during storms and crises and much more his reports were very informative and completely concerned his areas of interest and concern.. He spent much of his time extertaining many of us with his humor and wit. I’m sure you have your own colum or talk show in Heaven Jim I’m sure the good Lord likes to know how exactly you feel about certain foods and all about cruises and of course the situation on tp for sure. Heaven gained a good one and this earth will be duller with you gone. RIP
