Elected officials to be sworn in January 1

Local elected officials in Bradley County are soon to be sworn in Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the Bradley County Courthouse in Warren.

The ceremony, which will take place at 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, will see a host of local elected officials from both the County, City of Warren, City of Hermitage, as well as Banks officially sworn in for their upcoming terms. This includes members of the Bradley County Quorum Court, the County Judge, members of each municipalities’ City Council, as well as the Warren, Hermitage, and Banks mayors.

Open to the public, this is the start of each elected official’s new term in office.

District Judge Bruce Anderson is scheduled to conduct the ceremony. A few of the new names to be sworn in to take their place on the Quorum Court include Tony Cathey and Dana Harvey. One new member is coming onto the Warren City Council. Latanza Atkins will be filling the seat of retiring and outgoing member Zach Burks. Gregg Reep is set to be sworn in as the new Warren mayor. Matthew Cathey will also be sworn in as the new mayor of Hermitage.
