Jerry Daniels, 1957-2024

Jerry Daniels was born on December 23, 1957 in Warren, AR to Jessie Mae Daniels and the late Napoleon Daniels. He graduated from Warren High School in 1976. Jerry went on to work at Potlatch/Potlatch – Deltic for 43 years, where he retired in December 2021.

On May 2, 1981, he married his high school sweetheart, A’Seneque (Easter) Daniels.

Jerry was a change agent, community advocate & state leader. An avid and committed Lumberjack fan, trademarking the slogan – WE ARE WARREN!

He was an active member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church – North Warren where he served as a trustee, usher, bus driver, and in other various capacities throughout the church. Jerry was also a former member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.T. Easter and Greenville Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Ivory McDaniel.

He served on the Warren School District School Board for 33 years, serving as President for 19 years. Throughout his tenure serving as School Board President, his vision/preparation came to fruition through the unveiling of the new Warren Middle School, Brunson Elementary, Eastside Elementary, and renovation of Warren High School. His most recent and proud accomplishment being, THE Lumberjack Arena. Jerry was an active member of the Arkansas Officials Association, where he traveled across the state as a referee for 25 years. Jerry was currently on the Arkansas School Board – Board of Directors, where he’s impacted all children across the state of Arkansas through scholarships and positive change. Jerry was awarded the Pinnacle Award in 2013 for attaining 200 hours of continued education, Platinum Award in 2019 for attaining 400 hours of continued education, and the Presidents Award in 2023 for attaining 500 hours of continuing education and providing leadership to the Warren School District School Board and to the Arkansas School Board Association.

Jerry is survived by his loving and devoted wife, A’Seneque Daniels; his children, Patrick Randolph of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Ashley (Nico) Canada of Bossier City , Louisiana; sisters, Debra Jackson of Maumelle, Arkansas and Marian Crawford (Robert) of Little Rock, Arkansas; his brothers Bruce Daniels (Theresia) of Springdale, Arkansas, Jimmy Ray Daniels (Learnet) of Warren, Arkansas, Ron Daniels (Avon) of Warren, Arkansas; his granddaughters Audrey Redic and Adalyn Canada of Bossier City Louisiana, who were the sunshine girls of his life; his grandchildren, Chris Canada, Javian Rice, Brandon Gillery, Natalie Remmel, Keyshawn Randolph, Tenika Ellis, Tasheena Amos; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and bonus daughters. He is preceded in death by his father, Napoleon Daniels; brother Dennis Daniels; maternal grandparents, Jessie and Evelyn Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Ella Mae and Roy Edwards, and James Daniels.
