Kim Juanyce Johnson-Jones, 1955-2024

Kim Juanyce Johnson-Jones, was born January 25, 1955 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Clarence Johnson Jr. and Marie Lavern Johnson. She peacefully departed this life on the morning of July 21, 2024 surrounded by her family. Kim accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of her grandfather: Rev. W. L. Strickland Sr. at the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Warren, Arkansas. She received her early education at Westside Elementary School and continued to excel academically becoming one of a selected group of African American students honored to integrate Warren Jr. High School. Kim achieved honors as Honor Society, Homecoming Court, Beta Club, Warren High School Cheerleader, and Medrigals Choir. Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, Arkansas. There Kim was a member of the Black Student Association, Cheerleader, became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. After graduation, Kim began her professional career at The Warren School District. Then later gaining employment at Arkansas Division of Workforce Services where she began as Administrative Asst. and ascended to the position of Assistant Human Resource Manager.
