Wilma Adair Retires from Collector’s Office

Mrs. Wilma Adair has retired after some 30 years of service to Bradley County as an employee of the Collector’s office. She began in 1991 and retired this year. A reception was held in her honor November 12, 2021 in the lobby of the Bradley County Courthouse. During Mrs. Adair’s tenure she served as Chief Deputy Collector.

She worked under seven Sheriff and Collectors, including Jack Gambill, Jody Roper, Mignon Roper, John Kidwell, Butch Belin, Rick Anders and Herchel Tillman.

Mrs. Adair stated she had enjoyed her work and looked forward to a satisfying retirement. Many people stopped by to wish her well, as did the Courthouse staff.

Bradley County Sheriff and Collector Herchel Tillman presented Mrs. Adair a plaque in recognition of her service. Pictured with them is her husband.
