It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Warren

Towards the end of last week installation of new Christmas lights in the downtown area of Warren were completed, marking the official start to the holiday season in the historic district.

As Saline River Chronicle previously reported in September of this year, the Warren City Council voted to accept a proposal from Jolly Lighting of Hensley, Arkansas for the replacement, installation, taking down, and storage of new Christmas light garlands for the downtown portion of town. The cost totaled $15,470.19 for the first year, but will cost $5,606.54 in the years to come.

Jolly Lighting had a crew of around four or five people working to put up the Christmas lighting fixtures in recent days.
