Patrick LuRoss ‘Dick’ Golden, 1969-2021

Patrick LuRoss ‘Dick’ Golden, 51, of New Edinburg, died October 8, 2021. Born October 28, 1969, he was a son of the late Tommy Lee and Annie Bea Golden. He was a 1989 graduate of Kingsland High School. He professed Christ at an early age and joined St. John AME Church under the late Fannie Mitchell, where he was active in the church youth division.

Patrick enjoyed farming, logging, hunting, fishing, playing basketball, riding horses, grilling, riding four-wheelers, most of all he enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Golden.

He is survived by his children, Jasmine McDade (Herman), Jacarrio Cranford, MonVanda Golden; siblings, JoAnn Gilbert (Joe), Cathy Rice (Eddie), Terry Golden all of Warren, Vickie Ann Golden of Las Vegas, NV., Veronica Golden, Tommy Golden both of New Edinburg, Rose Ann Golden of Wilmot, Jason Golden (Erika) of Little Rock; sister-in-law, RoLinda Golden of Fresno, CA.; grandchildren, Tristan McDade, Hailey Cranford, Cannon Flex Blakes, Treyssaun McDade; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was October 14th at the New Edinburg Community Center in New Edinburg with Presiding Elder Kent J. Broughton officiating. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, New Edinburg. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
