How to get a COVID test

Questions have been asked as to how to get a covid test in Warren and Bradley County. According to the Bradley County Medical Center, the hospital has the ability to test patients and visitors to the ER if the attending doctor deems it needed. Tests are not available for the public to drop in and get tested.

Doctors offices will provide tests for their patients for diagnosis and/or screening purposes as needed.

The Bradley County Health Unit can provide “Rapid test” for those that have symptoms. You must call the Department and schedule an appointment. The Health Department will file on the patient’s insurance, if available, and accept whatever is paid. Otherwise, there will be no charge and those uninsured will get the test at no cost.

Local pharmacies have home test kits available. Call your pharmacy in advance and schedule to pick one up at the drive through.

For any questions call your personal physician, your local pharmacy, or the Bradley County Health Department.
