James Arnold Thompson, 1946-2022

James Arnold Thompson age 76 of Warren, AR passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters on Friday, June 10, 2022. He was born on March 16, 1946 in Bradley County to the late Elmer and Artie Pruitt Thompson of Warren, AR.

James was retired from Robbins Whitt Plant in Warren. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and a devoted husband to his wife of 36 years, Elenor Darlene Thompson. He was a Vietnam Veteran. James was an avid fisherman who loved going camping at Lake Chicot with his wife and two furry sidekicks, Buttons and Prissy and any family or friends that wanted to join them. He spent many hours in his little shop welding and building things as well as working in his yard with his wife.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Artie Thompson of Warren AR, a sister Lou Clark of Little Rock AR, a daughter Ashley Renee Thompson of Warren, AR and a granddaughter Jessica Lynn Mann of Rye, AR.

Surviving him is his loving wife, Elenor Darlene Nichols Thompson of Warren AR, one brother, Roy Burton Thompson and spouse Judy of Wilmar AR, one son, James Kelly Thompson and spouse Amanda of Shelbyville TN, two daughters, Ramona Angela Reynolds Tiner and spouse Mike and Alesia (Lisa) D. Reynolds Mann both of Rye, AR.  6 grandchildren, James Lee Thompson, Jonathon Hunter Thompson and Justin Lane Thompson, all of Shelbyville TN, Wesley Wade Mann and spouse Rachelle and Samantha Nicole Mann Pomeroy and spouse Kyler both of Hot Springs, AR, Laci Miichal Tiner Poole and spouse Jeremy of Rye, AR. 5 great grandchildren, Aiden, Sadie, and Luke Poole of Rye AR and Chaise and Adley Mann of Hot Springs AR.

Memorial service June 19, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Warren Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, there will also be a link to observe on zoom if anyone needs that please contact Lisa by call or text at 870-308-8803. Arrangements are by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren, AR.   The family would like to thank all of the many family and friends, especially his spiritual family that have supported them during these last few months with food, calls, visits, prayers and love!
