Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center holds book signing for participants in national student publishing program

WARREN, Arkansas – The Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center has announced that all 88 of its clients have become published authors through a national student publishing program. As part of the publishing process, clients wrote and illustrated their own book using a publishing kits provided by Student Treasures Publishing. Friday, August 26, a number of the participating authors, clients from the center, held a book signing event at the Center.

The book, entitled Snowflakes, is a celebration of the differences in each of us that make us unique as individuals and the things that we share that bring us together as an SEAHDC family. Just like us, every snowflake is special and unique but just look at what they can do when they stick together!

“Our friends who reside at SEAHDC and our habilitation staff have worked very hard on this project and are so proud to be published authors! We could not be prouder of the book and the positive message it shares. We are excited to share the celebration of this accomplishment with our friends and family! Seeing our release party full of proud, smiling authors and illustrators is a memory that will last a lifetime,” says Lauren Franklin, Education and Instructor Coordinator at the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center.

Books are available for purchase. Contact the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center for more information.
