Jackie Ruth Moore, 1945-2022

Jackie Ruth Moore, age 77, of Round Rock, Texas passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was born January 4, 1945 in Warren, Arkansas to Calvin and Ruth Brown Jacks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hicks Moore.

Jackie graduated from Warren High School in 1963 and from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1967. She obtained her Masters in Elementary Education from East Texas State University. Jackie was a lifelong elementary school teacher with 42 years of teaching in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. A woman of faith and regular attender of Sunday church services over her lifetime including the First Baptist Church of Texarkana, Texas and the First Baptist Church of Hot Springs, Arkansas. In retirement, Jackie volunteered for the Salvation Army of Hot Springs and Garvan Woodland Gardens. Jackie loved travelling to new places and visited many European countries as well as visiting almost all the fifty states. She loved reading books, especially in retirement on her beautiful sun porch surrounded by her plants and antiques, looking out over Lake Hamilton.

She is survived by a daughter, Jo Anna McGinnis and son-in-law Tim McGinnis, two grandsons Connor and Collin McGinnis from Taylor, Texas. One son, Jack Allen Moore of Little Rock. A sister, Linda Sue Jacks of Sherwood, Arkansas.

Funeral service was 10:00 am, Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Frazer’s
Funeral Home in Warren. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Rye.
