Bobby E. Boley, 1938-2022

Bobby E. Boley, loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family in his home on October 5, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born on November 19, 1938 in Hermitage, Arkansas.

On, March 9, 1974, he married the love of his life, Lila Mary Taylor Jones, in Corpus Christi, Texas. They made wonderful memories and raised 4 children and 2 grandchildren together during their 49 years of marriage. His greatest treasures in life involved spending time with his wife and his family on the many travel adventures they experienced.

He retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the US Navy after 22 years in September of 1978. And, he retired from his 2nd career after 38 years as a Truck Driver (Owner Operator) in 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Lila Mary Boley, his sisters Kay Medlin and Pat Richard, his children Linda St. Moritz (Mark) of Florida, David Jones Jr (Kippi) and Tonya Clubb of South Carolina. He had 9 grandchildren (Michelle, Ricky, Christina, Bobby, David Jr, Lillian, Valerie, Ronald Jr, and Zack) and 12 great grandchildren (Jackson, Miles, Carlee, Christopher, Caleb, Callie, Savannah, Bobby Jr, David III, Parker, Harper, and Charlotte).

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Pace, sisters, Sue Outlaw Daniel and Eloise Cameron, and brothers Troy and Kenneth Outlaw and Eddie Wayne Boley.

Bobby loved life and will be remembered fondly for the way he spent time with family: cruises, dirt bikes, four wheelers, stock car races, building a house, pig roasts, river rafting, theme parks and many more. But mostly for his smile and pride in those he loved. He was a humble and hardworking man who lived his life with honor and integrity and always helped anyone in need. He was well loved and will be missed dearly.

A Visitation will be held Sunday October 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of Life will follow from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Chapel. The Burial with Military Honors will take place at 4:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
