David Richey resigns as YMCA CEO

WARREN, Ark. – The Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County Board of Directors regretfully announces the resignation of David Richey as the CEO of the DWR YMCA. Mr. Richey has faithfully served the Y for seven years as of September 2022. He worked tirelessly to promote the core values of the Y and to put Christian principles into practice through programs intended to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

David, and his wife Liz, have accepted the pastorate of First Baptist Church of Rector, Arkansas. he will assume his responsibilities on January 8, 2023. Mr. Richey’s last day at the Y will be January 4, 2023. Mr. Richey commented, “The opportunity to serve at the DWR UMCA was a grace that God granted me, and I have loved every minute of it. This has not been an easy decision for our family. Ye, my heart has always been in the pastorate. Though it is difficult to leave Warren and the Y, I am excited about the journey which is ahead of us.”

The Board of Directors asks for and appreciates the prayers and support of our community as they move forward in its search for a new CEO. The search process is detailed and orchestrated in connection with YUSA. The staff and volunteers of the DWR YMCA will continue to provide the excellent programs and services you are accustomed to while the search continues for a new CEO.
