James Onzello Wolfe, Jr. 1947-2022

James Onzello Wolfe, Jr., age 75, of Camden, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was born October 9, 1947, in Warren, Arkansas to James Wolfe, Sr. and Eva Carolyn Martin Wolfe.

As a boy Jim loved riding his bike all around El Dorado. He was an avid baseball player and loved all things outdoors. He loved telling stories of his time as a young boy.

Jim joined the United States Air Force in 1966 and served 6 years. Much of his time was spent in Hawaii and Vietnam during the Vietnam war. He was Honorably discharged April 19, 1972. He fondly recalled his time spent as an officer. He was extremely proud to serve his country.

Jim married Linda Steelman on May 29, 1971. Although they only dated for three months, they became lifelong partners. They were blessed with two children James and Jessica.

Most of Jim’s time was spent behind the wheel of his big truck. He spent 40 years driving the vast roads across the country. He loved taking his grandchildren Luke and Holton along with him.

Jim was an active member of the Wild River Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. Other hobbies included watching and playing golf, spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, grilling and smoking meats, spending time with his dog, and watching razorback football and St. Louis cardinal baseball.

He is preceded in death by his father James Wolfe, Sr., his mother Carolyn Martin Wolfe, his father’s large and loving family, and his beloved son James Onzello Wolfe III.

 He is survived by his wife Linda Steelman Wolfe, brother Marty Wolfe and wife Terry Wolfe, sister Jennifer Wolfe Dennis and late husband Dan Dennis, daughter Jessica Wolfe Smith, three grandchildren Holton, Luke (fiancé Lainie), and Chloe Smith, his beloved German Shepard Jude, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral service was 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, Arkansas with burial at Williams Cemetery in Banks, Arkansas.
