The first Shooting Range Manager in the history of the Warren Shooting Range is retiring. Thomas “Bubba” York took the job as Range Manager while the Warren Shooting Facility was under Construction. He oversaw its development and has managed the facility ever since. The City has a state-of-the-art skeet range and has recently added a rifle and pistol range to the facility. It is open to the public
for individual use, as well as for tournaments and fund raising activities. Ask anyone who regularly shoots at the Range or who has just used it once or twice and they will tell you it is well run, and Bubba York is the reason.
Mayor Denisa Pennington gave Bubba high marks for his work and thanked him for his dedication to the Range and to the City of Warren. Mr. York stated it had been a great experience and he is very pleased Warren has such an asset for use by all the people of South Arkansas. Most of Mr. York’s family was in attendance as well as friends and users of the Range.
Several regular shooters went together and presented Mr York with a retirement gift.
