Dog adoption event happening this weekend at Warren Animal Shelter.

The Warren Animal Shelter is hosting a dog adoption event this coming weekend, Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event is being put on by Holley Curry, ACO/ACI, with part time ACO Samantha Stoughton and volunteers helping. “Due to the shelter being overwhelmingly full we have decided to host the event in hopes of finding homes,” said Curry. “We will have the shelter open from 10am-1pm for the community to come and meet the dogs and we will also be giving out beverages and snacks. Kids are allowed to attend the event with an adult. All adoption fees will be waived until 12/31/2022, and all dogs adopted will be spayed or neutered before going to their new homes.”

Curry also reminded the community with winter setting in that their animals must have adequate shelter, food, and water. Warren does have a leash law. If a stray dog is picked up, the owner will have two weeks to reclaim their animal, and if they do not it will be put up for adoption.
