Lumberjack’s three-game winning streak ends at Conference leaders Watson Chapel

WATSON CHAPEL, Ark. – League leaders of Conference 8-4A, Watson Chapel, beat Warren Friday night, January 20, 2023 by the final of 66-40.

Warren fell behind 12-6 in the first quarter.

The slow offensive start carried over into the second as the Lumberjacks mustered just eight more points. Watson Chapel led 35-14 at the half.

Warren played much better in the second half, but Watson Chapel shot lights out from nearly every spot on the floor. They went on to win 66-40 over the Jacks.

Antonio Jordan was the lone Lumberjack in double digits with 22 points.

Neon’dre Thomas and Jalin Lee each posted six, while Malik Day, Jordyn Ingram, and Dontavion Bluford each had a basket to their name on the night.

Thomas led Warren on the boards with five rebounds. Lee, Jordan, and Ingram each had four.

The loss brings the Lumberjacks’ overall record to 5-6. They are now 3-3 in the 8-4A Conference. Warren will take on LR Mills on the road next Tuesday, January 24. That game tips off immediately following the Lady Jacks game which starts at 5:30 p.m.
