Visitors included Terrie Mahanes and Ricky Rodriguez of AHF, and Jim Houston, a real estate agent who recently moved to Warren after a 35-year career in operations management including overseas.

St. John appointed Julie Hamilton as special events chairwoman, with a committee to be set up, and Denisa Pennington as chairwoman of either the fundraising or bylaws committees, with those committees to be set up.

White explained that a request of $20,000 from Warren City Council was denied primarily because of an old law that said city municipalities cannot fund or support other agents for economic development. The Chamber board agreed to approach Mayor Gregg Reep about amending the city budget to provide funding for Chamber activities other than economic development.

A motion was approved to continue memberships in Arkansas Economic Developers-Chamber Executives and the Downtown Network.

A proposal from Luke Hudson to provide direct payment processing services was rejected.
