Ruby Lee Childs, 1930-2022

Ruby Lee Childs, 92, of Warren, passed away December 25, 2022. Born August 16, 1930, she was a daughter of the late George Dewey and Josie Boswell. She was a member of the New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Banks. She was an employee of the Potlatch Corp. and Brantwood Flooring for many years.

Ruby Lee was united in holy matrimony to Clinton Childs, to this union four daughters were born.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Childs, siblings, Golena Childs, Jettie Mae Clay, Mozelle Bradley, Lummie Jean Gilbert, George D. Boswell and Travis Boswell.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Kay Harris, Shirley Childs, Gail Martin (Ron) all of Warren, Ar., Debra Miller (Ricky) of Hampton, GA.; siblings, Marion C. Boswell (Cora J.) of Fresno, CA., Dorothy Davis (Roy); nine grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held December 31 at New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Banks with Elder Larry Smith officiating. Burial was in Childs Cemetery, Banks. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.

  4. Words seem so empty in times like these, the pain is incomprehensible but I will stand alongside you my friend, Linda. The love you have shown for your mom, death cannot part, she will forever be in your heart. Grief will complete its course and you will rest in the happiness that you did what a wonderful daughter is supposed to do. I pray that the dedication, love and courage passed down from your mother will continue to blossom within your family. #rilrube? ?
