Becke Williams of Rocking Horse Ranch Arkansas speaks to Warren Rotary

The Rotary Club of Warren met for its weekly program Tuesday, Feb. 28 inside the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The group heard from Hermitage Junior Rotarian Grace Smith and Warren Junior Rotarian Ashley Cortez to begin the program. Rotarian Dixon Platt then introduced his program of Becke Williams, who owns the Rocking Horse Ranch Arkansas in Monticello. It is a therapeutic equine therapy center that she and her husband, the late Billy Williams, started around 2016 after her retirement as a school counselor, which included some time at SEACBEC in Warren. Becke earned her riding instructor certification from PATH International. PATH stands for Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship and this allows Becke to provide riding courses to disabled people along with able-bodied people as well. Williams spoke at length about some personal success stories she’s been a part of with therapeutic equine therapy. She ended the program by answering a few questions and also said that they are always looking for people to volunteer their time or their money for scholarships for riders.
