ADC prison work crew in town Tuesday helping to pick up trash and clean streets

Warren, Arkansas – On Tuesday, March 28th, a work crew consisting of prisoners from the Arkansas Department of Corrections partnered with the City of Warren to help clean up debris and trash from streets. The crew worked in multiple locations, including St. James Street, for part of the morning.

Supervisors from the Arkansas Department of Corrections were present on horseback to oversee the work crew. The prisoners, who were selected for the program based on good behavior were tasked with picking up trash and other debris from the streets.

While it must be scheduled, Warren Mayor Gregg Reep said Tuesday that the City has “every intention of utilizing the ADC prisoner work crews for future clean up efforts.”
