A proud product of Bradley County, Keith cherished his hometown, and never forgot it while he travelled the world and country, building his life. He led a life of committed service to his country, profession and community.
Upon graduating from Warren High School in 1953, Keith served his country as a member of the 9th Sig Co 9th Inf Div APO 11 in Goeppingen, Germany from 1954 through 1956. After arriving home, he married his high school sweetheart, Martha Ann Hartsell. Keith went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas at Monticello for Accounting. Afterwards, Keith and Martha Ann reared three boys, Greg Jones, Jay Jones and Jeff Jones.
Keith began his lifelong career in Insurance in Little Rock. He ended his long and successful career as the CFO and COO of United Founders Life Insurance. His business would eventually take him through Chicago, Oklahoma City, and Birmingham. Upon coming home to Warren, he then cared for his ailing wife, Martha Ann, for 20 years until her passing in 2006. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage.
In 2008, Keith reconnected at a high school reunion with his friend, Faye Rhett Ashcraft Mitchell. At 73 years old each, they married and shared 13 years of marriage before she passed at 86 years old in 2022. Keith remained in the home they shared in Glenwood, AR until he passed peacefully surrounded by people who love him.
Keith was also preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Nelson Jones and Elna Lee Bond Jones; his sister, Ouida Taylor. He is survived by his three sons, Greg, Jay and Jeff; his sister, Barbara Martin; a host of grandchildren; and his stepchildren, Thomas, Tim, Scott, Marla, Ashley, and Brandyn.
Funeral service was 2:00pm, Monday, March 6, 2023 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Rev. Wayman Mann and Gerald Palmer officiating. A private family burial immediately followed.
