Ceremony held honoring Class 4A State Indoor Track and Field Champion Lady Jacks

WARREN, Ark. – The Lady Jacks of Warren High School (WHS) were honored at a Proclamation Ceremony held at the Warren City Park Train Depot on April 5, 2023. The ceremony was organized to celebrate the team’s recent success at the Class 4A State Indoor Track & Field Championship.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Alderman Joel Tolefree, who is also a member of the Warren School District (WSD) Board. He expressed his joy in seeing the Lady Jacks make their city proud and congratulated them for their excellent performance at the championship. He then proceeded to introduce the WHS Track Team and their coach, Janice Reddick.

A proclamation presentation was made by Mayor Gregg Reep, who recognized the Lady Jacks for their remarkable victory. He commended the team’s hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship.

Several guests were invited to give remarks, including Doug Spencer, a WSD and track supporter, and Coach Janice Reddick. In his address, Spencer praised the Lady Jacks for their hard work, while Coach Reddick expressed her gratitude towards the team and the community for their continuous support.

The event was sponsored by Union Bank and Trust of Warren, who provided lunch for the attendees. The ceremony ended with a blessing of the food.

The Lady Jacks 2023 Class 4A State Indoor Track & Field Championship Team roster was also announced at the event. The roster included Azul Garcia, Delaney Herring, Aria Hunt, Ember Johnson, McKinleigh Meeks, Amari Russell, Zoe Tullos, Aaliyah Walton, Krystal Walton, Taliyah Walton, Mattie West, Avery Wharton, and Aniyah York.

The Lady Jacks have brought pride to their city and school with their excellent performance. This victory is not only a testament to their hard work and dedication but also a symbol of their remarkable talent and sportsmanship. Congratulations to the Lady Jacks!
