Chamber talks Market On Main, downtown decorating, and Tomato Festival preparations

Market On Main will return to the former Martin’s lot this Saturday, it was announced at Monday’s monthly Bradley County Chamber of Commerce board meeting.

Board member Estephany Roman said 21 vendors are expected from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. including four food trucks with coffee, Mexican food and fried items. The vendors are only limited by power requirements, so more may be added later. A new logo has been designed for the event and a web page may be set up.

Board Chairman Ron St. John said an enormous crowd was on hand for the Easter egg hunt in Warren City Park. He said good weather was enjoyed and city crews helped mow the park before the event.

Executive Director Terrie White reported that since Make Warren Shine has disbanded, the Chamber has taken over decorating the downtown. She said volunteers are needed to help decorate and water flowers.

Board members JeNelle Lipton and Denisa Pennington are still working on board bylaws revisions.

Board member James Wells reported that preparations for the Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival are continuing. Kenna Sparks is festival chairwoman. Festival T-shirts will be available soon at area banks and the Chamber. Last year’s T-shirts are on sale at the Chamber for $10.
