PTF Committee finalizing plans for 2023 festival

Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival committee members met Thursday to help finalize some details for the festival.

Kicking off the festival will be the Tour de Tomato bike ride, with routes through Hermitage and Johnsville, on May 20. Volunteers and sponsors are needed.

Attending were Chairwoman Kenna Sparks, Keeton Hudson, Nora Pacheco, Stephanie Slaughter and Whitney Jolley.

The festival will be the week of June 5-10. Josie Hargis of Warren and David Nail will be the headline entertainers.

Warren Lions Club will host the 44th Gospel Jamboree at 6 p.m. June 8 at the Immanuel Baptist Church Family Life Center.

The Little Miss Pink Tomato Pageant will be held on June 10 at Grace Cowboy Church.

Petite, Preteen, Teen and Miss Pink Tomato Pageants will be held June 3 at the Hermitage Community Center.

The Cutest Baby Contest will be held June 9 at Grace Cowboy Church.

A car show will be held on Main Street on June 10.

Singers and dancers who want to perform on the afternoons of June 9-10 are asked to contact Sparks through Facebook.

First State Bank will cap off the festival with fireworks on June 10.

The next planning session will be held at 6 p.m. May 9 at Warren Municipal Building.
