Rotary hears program from Katelyn Busby of Edward Jones

The Rotary Club of Warren met for its weekly meeting Tuesday, April 11 at First United Methodist Church. The group heard from Warren High School Junior Rotarian Abby Mendez to begin the event. Warren Rotary Club President Dennen Cuthbertson then introduced Katelyn Busby of Edward Jones in Monticello to present the program. Busby, a native of Monticello, is a financial advisor and prepared a presentation for the group. She spoke about growing up in Monticello and wanting to help the people of Southeast Arkansas. Busby explained that she had worked as an attorney before switching careers to become a financial advisor. The current state of the market along with inflation were key topics during the program. There was also a mention of a recession, but Busby stated that you can still make money in today’s climate with the right investments. She ended her informative presentation by answering several questions from the crowd.
