Union Bank commissions new flag mural

Warren, AR – The east side of The Eagle Democrat building is getting a fresh coat of paint, as a replacement mural is being painted to replace the old flag mural that will be torn down as part of a demolition project in the near future. The news was announced on Friday, April 28, 2023, by Tricia Wilkinson and Randy Rawls with Union Bank and Trust.

The American flag mural on the south side of the Bradley County Courthouse Square is having to come down due to the demolition of the buildings on that block. However, the new replacement mural on the Eagle Democrat building will ensure that the community can still enjoy the symbol of their patriotism.

Union Bank and Trust has contracted with Jason White of White’s Artwork to repaint the new American flag mural. “The American flag means a lot to this community and Union Bank. We are honored to be a part of this wonderful community,” said Vice President Randy Rawls. He also thanked Pam and Danny Cook for their support of the project and for providing the building space for the new mural.

There is currently no timeline for when the new mural will be complete, but the community is excited to see the new artwork and honor the American flag once again. The old mural had been a fixture in the community since its creation in 2019, and its replacement is sure to be just as cherished.
