2023 Pink Tomato Festival finishes in style

WARREN, Ark. – The annual Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival came to a thrilling close on Saturday as David Nail, the celebrated country music artist, delivered a memorable performance to a massive crowd gathered in downtown Warren. The 2023 edition of the festival proved to be a resounding success.

Saturday’s festivities kicked off with the Pink Tomato Festival 5k Run/Walk, generously sponsored by Emrich & Scroggins, LLP.

Car enthusiasts flocked to Main Street for the Car Show, admiring an impressive display of vehicles that showcased the passion and dedication of their owners.

The festival Parade took center stage as one of the biggest in recent memory.

For those with a competitive spirit, the Tomato Eating Contest, sponsored by Union Bank, proved to be a crowd-pleaser. Participants faced off on a small stage, devouring the delicious fruit with gusto and vying for the prestigious title of tomato-eating champion.

Attendees seeking a break from the heat of the day found respite at the All-Tomato Luncheon, held at the First Baptist Church Activities Center. With an array of delectable tomato-based dishes on offer, attendees indulged in the flavors of the region’s most famous produce.

The festival also provided an opportunity to showcase the town’s young talent, as the Little Miss Pink Tomato Pageant took place at the First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Adorable participants captivated the audience with their grace and charm, embodying the spirit of the festival.

As the sun began to set, the Main Stage came alive with the infectious country music of Trea Landon. His captivating performance had festival-goers tapping their feet and singing along, setting the stage for the evening’s highly anticipated headliner.

The grand finale of the night featured David Nail, a chart-topping country music sensation, who delivered an unforgettable performance. Several thousand people were on hand to watch the concert that as always was presented at no cost to the community by the Pink Tomato Festival Committee.

Sponsored by First State Bank of Warren, Hermitage, and Hampton, the spectacular fireworks show that followed served as a dazzling bookend to the weekend’s fun and entertainment.

The 2023 Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival showcased the indomitable spirit and vibrant community of Warren. Throughout the entire week the event fostered a sense of unity and celebration. As the festival drew to a close, it left a lasting impression on the hearts of attendees, reminding them of the enduring charm and cultural significance of the pink tomato.
