Mario Hampton, 34, of Warren, passed away June 4, 2023. Born October 12, 1988, he was a son of Angela Warner and Brian Hampton. He joined Hampton Chapel AME Church at an early age. He accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. T.V. Simpson.
Mario attended Hermitage and Warren School Districts, he graduated from Warren High School, class of 2007.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfredia Hampton, Willie and Gracie York; uncles, Terry Hampton, Roosevelt Gray; aunts, Sharon Thompson; brother, Willie (Nappy) York.
Mario is survived by his parents, Angela Warner (Patrick) of Bearden, Brian Hampton (Angela) of Warren; son, Ca’Marion Hampton of Hot Springs; siblings, Shaquonda York, Kalaycia Hampton, Keylon Hampton, Nick Smith all of Warren, Dedrick Hampton of Arkadelphia; grandparents, Vera Hampton of Johnsville, Freddie Jean Smith of Warren; aunts, Felicia Gray, Lisa York both of Warren, Takeisha Weatherspoon (Targo) of Conway, Sandra Brathwaite (Felix) of Rockford, Illinois; uncles, Torrey Hampton, Gary Thompson both of Warren, Peter Ray Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry Smith of Malvern; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was June 10 at Hampton Chapel AME Church in Johnsville. Burial in Hampton Cemetery, Johnsville. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
