Jesse Lambert, 1948-2023

Jesse Lambert, 75, of Portland, Oregon, formerly of Warren, passed away October 4, 2023. Born June 27, 1948, he was a son of the late Clifton and Cozetta Lambert. He was a graduate of Bradley County High School class of 1966.

Jesse married Helen Daniels, to their union two sons were born, Terry Lambert and Jessie Bernard Lambert. He moved to Portland, Oregon in 1968, in search of a better life for his family, where he began working at White Stag. He then moved his family to Portland. He was employed with Oregon Steel for 17 years and later at Precision Castparts Corporation, where he ended his career as an Investing Robot Operator 33 years later. Jubitz Truck Stop was Jesse’s place of employment in his retirement years as a security guard, and he loved every minute of it.

He married Kathie Turner in 2004, to this union he acquired two daughters, two granddaughters, two grandsons already in existence. Three more grandchildren came later.

Jesse was a Freemason and progressed through the degrees to Grand Master of Mt. Moriah Grand Lodge. In 2014 he joined St. Johns All Nations Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Dr. Clifford O. Chappell, where he was appointed head Deacon. Jesse loved riding his motorcycle, fishing and playing dominoes. He also had an eye for fashion and shopped a lot. 

He is survived by his wife, Kathie; sons, Terry Lambert, Jessie Bernard Lambert (Theresa); daughters, Jameena West, LaNeese Mitchell; siblings, Leola Roberts, James Lambert, Harold Lambert (Cynthia); grandchildren, Jessica Crawford, Eric Daniels, Shereese Lambert, Janeese Mitchell, Jasmyn Mitchell, Tony West, Jamari West, Russell Taylor; seven great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held October 23 at West Central Church of Christ in Warren with Bro. Jamie Rochell officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pelum Cemetery in Longview. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
