Nannie Jo Kinard Jenkins, 1932-2023

Nannie Jo Kinard Jenkins, aged 91, died October 12, 2023.  She was born on February 19, 1932, in Bradley County, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Cone and Inez Kinard.

Jo grew up on the family farm and was a graduate of Banks High School. She was married to the late Orval Jenkins from their wedding in the summer of 1951 until his passing in September of 1999.

She worked for forty-one years for First State Bank of Warren and retired as Senior Vice-President in 2000. After retirement and the death of her husband, she moved to West Columbia, SC where she lived until her death.

She is survived by her four sons: Phillip Jenkins (Robin) of Columbia, SC, David Jenkins (Jan) of La Grange, Texas, Michael Jenkins (Mary Jo) of Berea, Kentucky, and Tommy Jenkins (Vince) of Wilmington, Delaware; four grandchildren, Libby Grohman (Bobby) of Frisco, Texas, Mark Jenkins (Georgia) of Dallas, Texas, Matthew Jenkins of Berea, Kentucky, and Kimberly Jenkins (Chris) of Frankfort, Kentucky. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Marie Jenkins and Lummie Reynolds.

 A graveside service and interment was held on October 20, at 10:00 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery of Warren, Arkansas.
