New officers will be installed during the annual meeting. Board members gave initial approval to have Dana Harvey serve next year as board chairwoman and James Wells will continue as treasurer.

Board members serve three-year terms. Nominated for the Class of 2025 were Ricky Rodriguez and Nancy Arnold. Nominated for the Class of 2026 were Kim Forrest, Dana Harvey, Ron St. John and new board members Steve Mahanes and Randall Raney.

In other action:

  • Treasurer Jane Harris presented the financial report, which was accepted by the board.
  • A discussion was held about Sunday’s Warren Christmas Parade, led by board member Estephany Roman. It was noted that the parade was longer than usual with good crowds in attendance.

However, it was noted that all parade participants need to sign in and adhere to city regulations prohibiting the throwing of candy from floats. It was suggested that people walking alongside the floats could hand out candy to avoid causing problems for the city Street Department in cleaning up after the parade. There was one injury reported during the parade which required medical attention. More law enforcement presence will be requested in the future to contain crowds better.
