John Howard Tatum, 65, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away December 1, 2023. Born October 25, 1958, he was a son of Flossie Tatum and the late Howard Tatum. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with First Baptist Church in Harrell, AR.
John received his formal education from Hampton Public Schools and he was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He was employed with International Paper Company for forty-two years, holding various positions, including forestry, technology and analytical before retiring in 2023.
He was also preceded in death by two siblings, Thomas Pickett and Janice Tatum Junior.
John is survived by his mother, Flossie Tatum of Harrell, AR; sons, Jerme Tatum of Bossier City, LA., John Junior Tatum of Manhattan, KS., sisters, Frances Tatum Crawford of Milwaukee, WI., Judy Tatum Henderson of Little Rock, AR.; a host of other relatives, friends and former UAM football friends.
Funeral service was December 9 at First Baptist Church in Harrell with Rev. Rodney Recco Williams officiating. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
