WARREN, Ark. – In response to the severe winter storm that covered the City of Warren with sleet and snow earlier this week, officials have announced a revised garbage pickup schedule to accommodate the challenging weather conditions.
In an announcement made on Wednesday afternoon, January 17, 2024, the City of Warren declared that there will be no garbage pickup on Thursday, January 18, 2023, due to the road conditions. This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of sanitation workers during the aftermath of the winter storm.
To compensate for the missed pickups, the city has organized an alternative schedule for garbage collection on the following days:
- Friday, January 19, 2023: This pickup will cover areas scheduled for Tuesday and Friday garbage collection.
- Saturday, January 20, 2023: Residents whose garbage is typically collected on Mondays and Thursday can expect pickup services on this day.
